Cano and Tulo for Utley

Someone in my 12-team roto league offered me Tulowitski (sp?) and Cano for Chase Utley. Both Tulo and Cano are off to slow starts while Utley is doing quite well. I just have a hunch one or both guys may not break out of it this year. Someone talk me down please.

hoo boy this one is tough. cano is good and tulo is very good, but utley is great. i guess it depends on what you're playing at shortstop right now.

don't do it AT ALL. Utley is a top 5 fantasy player and MVP candidate (probably would have won it if he didn't get hurt last year). Meanwhile Tulo is a good SS but not anywhere near great fantasy wise. Cano is a good 2b but looks like he could end up having a medicore year. So essentially by making this trade you will give up one of the best players hands down for two above average players. The difference between Utley and Cano is massive and the difference between Insert Name and Tulo at SS isn't nearly as big. That's what it comes down to. You lose a ton at 2b and gain slightly at SS.

I have Tejada at SS, so Tulo would have been redundant, although I probably could have packaged him for a #1 starter.

 

I rejected it, anyway. It was really, really tough to reject.
