My memory is failing me, does anyone remember the background to Fontenot's homer (#7)? I remember it being funny at the time but now I am forgetting what happened.

i think the previous inning, some moron fan reached out and hit a ball that was probably going to be a home run, but because of interference it was ruled a double. i'm pretty sure that's how it went down.

it had something to do with fan's reaching over the basket... I don't remember either

Truffle is right...it was a ball hit to left field right where the basket goes back towards the stands a little bit then continues back toward the foul pole...some ball hawk reached toward the field and brought the ball into the stands...if you watched the replay the ball most likely would have made it into the stands, but the umps ruled that since he reached along the basket and brought the ball back toward the stands it was interference and ruled a double.

And by the way the Parrot deserves a spot in the top 10. Easiestly one of the best reactions by a mascot to a home run that I have ever seen.

map props on the video.

i really dont think that anything in sports is more exciting than when a guy hits a HR that turns a deficit into a lead.

Maybe an interception near the goal line run back for a TD. Maybe.

I've always been fond of the 'walk-off' pick-6 in an overtime football game.

What was more spectacular, Doug Flutie in 1984 or Kirk Gibson in 1988? Both are the absolute pinnacle, within their respective sports, of the all-or-nothing game ending.

I personally go with Gibson.

The Play might have been more exciting, but nothing like it will ever happen again
