Cards prospect Donnie Smith faces a felony battery charge resulting from an incident in a Jupiter, FL., restaurant last September.

 

Smith is alleged to have struck a man in the face at the restaurant. He was arrested Wednesday and is set to be arraigned on March 6. The 25-year-old Smith had a 3.03 ERA in 59 1/3 innings as a reliever for Single-A Palm Beach last season.
