Say I wanted to trade Carlos Lee to a another team but this team was set with their "keepers" under the cap. They really want Lee but they are short 200 points under their cap. I on the other hand have 200 points available under my cap. So I would trade Carlos Lee plus 200 points to this other team for what ever they were giving me in return.

 

It would be like I was paying a portion of the players salary like in trades where teams send other teams cash.

I don't believe there is anything in the rules either way so there needs to be a league vote because it could cause a disagreement.

I saw your explanation, and I do not think that is a good idea at all. I am the one who voted yes, but now that I understand what you mean, my vote would be an emphatic no.
