Ok folks, this may be a dumb one, but it's been one I've been wondering about for quite some time.

 

I know it's perfectly legal to trade minor leaguers to other clubs. However, is it legal to trade minor leaguers for other minor leaguers without any Major League talent being involved? I can't recall a trade (not to say there weren't any, just that I don't remember) in which a team traded prospects to another team for prospects, and that was the entire trade.

It actually happens a lot, those trades just don't get much press.
