Schilling re-signs with the Red Sox. Rotoworld:

According to Buster Olney of ESPN.com, Curt Schilling and the Red Sox have agreed to a one-year contract worth about $8 million in guaranteed salary and $2 million in potential incentives.

Schilling spent most of the season hoping to sign a one-year, $13 million extension to remain in Boston and ends up taking a slight cut from that. The move is a no-brainer for the Red Sox, who lock up a quality starter in an otherwise awful market for free agents and do so at a reasonable price that includes zero risk. Schilling went 9-8 with a 3.87 ERA while starting 24 games in 2007. Nov. 6 - 10:41 am et

Woa, the incentives are for weight: http://38pitches.com/2007/11/06/done/

Also $3 M incentives for IP and another $1 M if he gets just 1 Cy Young vote.
