What can out minor league experts tell me about him? He's certainly no stud, maybe hardly even a "prospect." But does he have really any shot to make the majors the next few years.

He was a very solid player back in college, as I watched him with the Huskers (he was a teammate of new Yankee Joba Chamberlain, and Royals rookie Alex Gordon -- a dang good team, particularly in hindsight).

Simo was a 10th rounder in '05 and is already in AAA, which must count for something. Does he have a legit. chance at the bigs someday?

thanks :)

I havent seen him in game action since 2005 when he played the 2nd half here in peoria but he was/is one heck of a shortstop. Has great range and a very strong arm. He and Patterson (who's DEF at 2b is vastly underrated) turned the quickest and best double plays I have seen in the MWL in 5 years. He also had great instincts and you could tell he was a "baseball" guy even if his stats didnt always show it. He was aggressive on the bases, knew when to go 1st to 3rd, worked well with the coaching staff. Most here knew that if he ever started hitting over .250 he would make it which was the same feeling people had aboue Molina here in 2002 as a catcher.
