Blah-blah-blah...

I'm tired of people acting like it's some huge deal when every so often some celeb gets up there and butchers the song. It's a practice made famous (not even originally with the Cubs) by a guy who's legendary for basically sounding like a slobbering drunk almost every time who got on the air, so pardon me if I don't lose any sleep thinking that some sacred tradition is being desecrated. If anything, Santo is too good for the whole mess. I really don't care about the legacy of a sloppy ex-Cardinals and White Sox announcer.

BRING ON THE CELEBS! Infinitely more entertaining.

Agreed on all counts. Hell, Jeff Gordon's awful rendition was more entertaining that what looked like a 2-0 beating by the Astros...

Heck yeah. I was at that game with my dad and it was hysterical. The fans were shouting over him with the right version while the boos grew louder until the song was done and we really let him have it. What was the big deal? The fans still got to sing and we got to boo a midget out of the booth. Awesome.
