private messages

this may not be the right forum, but here goes.

 

Over the past month or so, I've received 5 emails (or so) that say that someone has sent me a private message. I log into NSBB but no message.

 

I don't mind since I log in to NSBB everyday --- just thought I'd pass the info along incase it was a software bug or something like that.

If someone sends you a PM, then deletes it before you read it, it disappears from your inbox but you still get the notification.

 

And ... that's what I did to you last night, Boss. Sorry! I had PM'd you to see if you'd spot-start the game thread, but when I checked back later, you were no longer online and hadn't read the PM yet. So I deleted your message because I asked someone else to spot-start. Can't speak to the other false alarms you received, though.

 

eta: maybe you have a shy secret admirer who keeps PMing you, but then gets nervous and deletes it!!

No need to delete the PM. I log in / log off quite often. After 5:00 CST, my e-mail is usually open so I'll respond quickly. I'm always good for a spot start.
