SS Issues

Just recently, I made a pretty big trade. I gave up Nick Swisher (who was playing CF for me), AJ Pierzynski, and Jhonny Peralta for Joe Mauer and Julio Lugo (just to cover SS for me until I figure out who I want there). I had already snagged Vernon Wells to ride the pine, so I moved him out into CF... but I didn't realize exactly how bad Lugo was doing this season.

 

So, do I stick with Julio Lugo and pray for a rebound, or do I grab one of Dustin Pedroia, Felipe Lopez, or Stephen Drew off the waiver wire?

 

Lugo, Lopez, and Drew are all struggling mighty, but have decent upsides. Meanwhile, Pedroia is mashing but his upside is very limited.

 

Thoughts?

He just has to get better. I mean, there's no where else for him to go but up at this point.

Agreed, ride him out. His steals will help. If you had better alternatives, maybe, but none of those guys are exciting.

I traded Adam Dunn and Cole Hamels for Bill Hall, Manny Ramirez, and Andrew Miller.

I traded Adam Dunn and Cole Hamels for Bill Hall, Manny Ramirez, and Andrew Miller.

No, Hall had been scuffling. He's been coming on real strong lately. And I've got more than enough HR from all my other spots... so Manny's abilities outside HRs are more helpful to me.
