as i said at grb that article paints a negative picture of McGilvary, Woody and him are still good friends to this day.

I disagree - the article mentions what most every Cubs fan from 5 years ago knew, that Wood's high school coach used him for a 170 pitch day. It doesn't go much beyond that.

I once threw 174 pitches in a sophomore game in high school. My arm was never the same after that. To this day, I blame my sophomore baseball coach for ruining my major league career.

Thanks for posting. Man I wish him the best of luck. Always such a class act for the Cubs. I can't stand the losers that take pot shots at him.
