Elvin Puello and Valerio Heredia Were Released

Apparently they were released the week of May 12-18. Didn't see it anywhere else and didn't hear about it till just now. Bit surprising about Heredia since he did crack Peoria's opening day roster (even if he was horrible and demoted soon after).

Don't know much about Heredia, but I am surprised that the Cubs held on to Puello this long.

Biittner - I believe he was. Before my BA subscription ran out, I recall Allan Simpson had him on top 20 prospect list - rookie level Mesa (IIRC)

Puello was 18 when he was signed by the Cubs, and 19 when he made his US debut.
