OLD STYLE IS BREWED IN WISCONSIN!!!!

 

i didn't get that commercial here but they must be trying to find a larger niche in the market. Chicago is largely a Miller Brewing market but Bud/Budweiser is also trying to get more customers here...

Yeah, they're very clearly trying to attract Chicago drinkers, but I just don't get it. Old Style is NOT a Chicago beer. Goose Island is. But Old Style is very clearly brewed in Wisconsin.

 

I just don't get it.

 

It's just marketing. It's very similar to the Budweiser commercials that are narrowly tailored to the specific audience they are attracting; the city worker/factory worker/guy on the beach themes...

I don't see how the air would change him from a GO to a FO pitcher.

 

(I also don't know the stats, but he has been giving up fewer grounders the past few seasons.)

They've always seemed to have the mindset that if they're not hitting a guy, they just need to start hacking and hope to get lucky, instead of taking pitches and trying to tire the guy out.
