The way I understand it, there are no real outcomes in the minor league games. They are all inter-squad games, and the games are all controlled to create certain situations for the players.

actually, they started playing "games" against other minor league teams on Saturday - we were at Fitch to see the low-A and high-A guys. As far as I could tell, though, the record-keeping was that of pitchers charting behind the plate (as well as running the scoreboard). I wrote down the info I saw on Saturday and will post that as soon as I find it in my luggage. I'm going through AZ-withdrawal at the moment, but it helped being able to see Joe Simokaitis, Mark Reed, and Jesus Valdez all in the Milwaukee game this afternoon on mlb.tv!
