With one less outfielder and more points being allotted to pitchers, won't the disparity between those who have 10 starts in a week and those who have 5 grow even wider???

since pitching starts will be restricted, this won't happen.

I know that this is not the direction you want to head in, but....

I would have kept the 4 outfield positions (I know that I suggested 3 outfielders earlier  ). Then I would have cut the number of starters from 5 to 4 (thereby limiting the potential difference in starts from 5 to 4) and increased our benches from 3 to 4 reservists so that we could have another starter on the bench and therefore be able to adjust our starting pitching each week so that we could limit the amount of weeks that we would have only 4 starts.

I definitely do not want people storing more starters on the bench.

I can agree with that. The free agent market was pretty slim pickings last year for injury replacements. Especially in the outfield.

I thought there was discussion that the extra outfield spot would become a 2nd utility spot. Did that get nixed, did I miss it, or was I dreaming?

Tick.....Tick...Tick....Impatient fantasy baseball fans are waiting for Juan to announce how he is going to limit starts?

So you guys do not like a larger bench...I can live with that.

How about limiting each team to four active starters?????

That would be taking away a 2nd scoring player, which will really reduce the amount of points that get scored each week. We already took away an offensive player.

The other tough thing with 4 starters and no increase in the bench is that you reduce the amount of possibilities for a 2 start week with one less starting pitcher.

Was there something wrong with the pitcher's scoring last year that requires it be tweaked even more than Juan's scoring changes? I didn't notice it.

You're not in la-la land. That was discussed, but decided against. I think not adding the second utility spot was part of the process of evening out the pitching and hitting points.

I wouldn't mind the 2nd utility if we had one IF and one OF.
