Man, I liked Tank too, I think he had real potential to be a very good DT in this league.

Oh well, enjoy your gangsta lifestyle Tank, your football career is probably over.

Unless he goes to prison for a long time, there will be plenty of teams who would pick him up in a heart beat so no his football career isint probably over

we should be talking about how the bears super bowl hopes were just flushed down the toilet.

Dramatic much?

no kidding, idiotic posts like that makes one think Johnson's real name is Urlacher.

he was having a decent year but in no way are we losing (if that is the case) a Reggie White type lineman

While I don't agree that the Bears' hopes are down the toilet (mainly because I'm not so sure yet that Tank won't be back playing this year), not having him is definitely a huge blow.

As others have stated, it's not just the fact that Tank would be out, it's the fact that the defense is already thin, and the defensive line is already missing its best player. Without tank, we're left with Alfonso Boone, Israel Idonije, Ian Scott, and, uh, Antonio Garay.

That's the big problem that losing Tank poses for this team.

his NFL career may not be over, but it is as a Bear.

one more thing i wanted to ask, do you guys want Tank anywhere near this team now?

You think he's any worse than RMJ???

I didn't have much problem with the gun charges, but the whole thing that happened at the night club tells me that we need to stay far far away from this guy.

Maybe teams will give him a chance, but he doesn't seem to want to change his gangster ways.

Honestly, I'm not sure what last night's incident showed about his "gangster ways" (unless we know more information about what happened).

It just continued to show how bad his judgement is/that he doesn't think.

His lawyer was just on WGN and said he was only in this club for 8 minutes, he didnt even have a drink or sit down yet.

That doesn't really mean anything. It just means it happened 8 minutes after he got there instead of a couple hours/few drinks in. He still went out with this guy when the Bears had told him not to be involved with anyone like this anymore.

If the employer you work for told you not to go out with your "best friend" would you listen?

If that employer was paying me millions of dollars to play a sport, I have no other way of making millions of dollars, and that friend is a convicted felon who just helped get me into a world of trouble?

Yes.

Then again, I would have had better judgment than to associate with people like that in the first place.

its so easy to say that, only if it were actually that easy to do it.

For people with remotely good judgement, it is.

One could say Michael Jordan had bad judgment who had that poker game with a convicted felon who were later killed by associates

I wish it were that easy to throw a best friend to the curb, i know it would be extremely hard to do it in my case

When that best friend is just hanging around to mooch off your wealth, and is causing MAJOR problems for you, what good is he?

It's like staying with a lying & cheating girlfriend just because it's too hard to break up.

Whos guns were they? Johnsons

If Johnson dosent have a problem with him mooching off his wealth, it dosent matter what anyone else thinks.

Last night aside, what has this guy done that has caused Johnson major problems. If Thursday never happened, things would be completely different

I'm done with this. If you want to continue to defend Tank Johnson's stupidity and terrible judgement, so be it.

We're thin on defense and need him as a player, and I hope he winds up playing for the Bears this year. But there is no defense for his unbelievably bad judgement. None.

Anybody know anything about this club? Whats it like?

8 minutes and the dude is dead? Thats a short period of time to piss somebody off to get shot if you didnt know them. I wonder if he (Posie) knew the assaulant. From what i remember he had a wife and child, thats too bad.

im not defending his judgement, all im saying is that 99 percent of us would do the exact same thing as he did if our employers told us to stop seeing our "best friends". its also real easy for people from white suburbs to say it because the chances their best friends have done anything more than smoke pot are small.
