QBs are making a comeback in Fantasy leagues this year. With the RB position evolving to a 2 back system, top QBs seem to be one of the more reliable point producing postions out there. If you are desperate for QBs, there are 3 interesting choices for pickups, maybe not to start, but to hold on the bench just in case...

Tony Romo:

He's got the players around him to make him put up good numbers (Glenn and TO), hes got the RB that will take the pressure off the passing game (J. Jones), and hes got the coach who likes to sling it out once in awhile, which can lead to big scores. But he has little to no NFL experience, doesn't seem like his arm is accurate enough to stay away from TOs, and hes got a crazy receiver that would make life hell for him if he doesn't give him the ball.

David Gerrard:

Yes its him again. With Leftwich injured, and the offense sputtering, Gerrard is back to put pressure on the starting QB job in Jax. Bill Simmons made a good point today when he mentioned how they have a good rookie pass catching RB, and wideouts that run great deep routes. The problem is that Leftwich's arm is useless past 20 yards. In steps Gerrard. Honestly, I have no idea if he is any better, but I looked up some of his numbers from last year, and they aren't that bad. If you remember correctly, towards the end of last year Leftwich was injured and there were rumblings that Gerrard was playing well enough to keep the starters spot when Byron was healthy. Anyways, its hard to tell whether the coaches would make a starting QB change when Leftwich is healthy, as all indications are that he is (rightly or wrongly) their franchise QB. But should Gerrard light it up this weekend....anything is possible. Worth to keep an eye on.

Trent Green:

Old faithful Trent Green is back to practicing again. He has likely been dropped in many leagues by the team that originally drafted him, and if you have the bench space, I'd highly recommend seeing if hes available and picking him up to wait for his return. The thing about Green is, he had a pretty severe concussion and has missed 7 weeks. Who knows if he will ever be the same mentally after a blow like that. Who knows how long it takes him to get back in the swing of things again. Right now its like he's going to through training camp again. Anyways, with the numbers like he has had in past seasons, you'd be dumb not to take a chance on him if you have the space on your bench.

Hope that helps. I should write a fantasy column :)

I'm starting Romo in a few leagues this week. Going by his small sample size of work, he could have a huge week against a terrible Washington pass defense.
