Brad Radke - Can he walk away

What are everyone's views on Radke retiring?

 

I was wondering this because looking at his career stats, including those

over the last 3-4 seasons they are very good compared to the very weak, very overrated, very soon to be overpaid FA class

 

As a comparison take Gill Meche. Radke had slightly better #'s than

Meche this year, and his numbers over the past few season's destroy his.

 

IMO, I really think Meche is gonna get close to 9 mil/seaon.

 

If so what does that make Radke worth? He is 33, certainly not young, but he could still have 2-3 decent seasons left in him.

 

Maybe Radke is content and will walk away from an oppurtunity to make more $$$. But it will be interesting to see.

Pitching through pain all year long, it was Radke that helped carry the club on his deteriorating shoulder and make this postseason a real possibility.

 

 

If anything, maybe Mr. Radke and Mr. Prior can get together and have

a chat this offseason.

so am i to understand that you want the cubs take on yet another rehab project in hopes that he might be able to contribute? no thank you, the man has a shreaded labrum and his shoulder socket is cracked...if he comes back it wont be next year
