RBI double by Lamb and 2 run homer by Berkman has the Astros back in the game, 6-4 in the top of the 6th.

Reds down 4-2 in the bottom of the 5th.

Washington up on Philly 4-3 in the top of the 7th.

Dodgers, Rockies scoreless in the 2nd.

Pads still up on the Cards 1-0 in the 3rd.

Oh yeah, and Rich Hill is still lookin' good.

The lack of patience is p*ssing me off. We've seen 24 pitches in 2 innings. Awesome.

CUBS are 22-20 when they average 3.4 P/PA or fewer.... 42-74 when they don't

That's more indicative of how crappy our offense is than the overall effectiveness of taking pitches.

...not that that was what you were implying.

Corey Hart kind of looks like Ryne Sandberg.

Maybe it's just me.

Does anyone know - does he wear his sunglasses at night??

Hill gets ahead in the count 1-2 and then gives up the line single to RF (Cirillo).

Hall singles a hanging curve into left. Should have been crushed, but I won't complain. Runners at 1st and 2nd, no outs.

Hart flies out to shallow CF. Runners hold.

Bell strikes out swinging after running the count full. Throw to second...

Blanco nails the trailing runner at second (Cirillo took off as well). Blancowned!!

Inning over, baby!

Hill's line so far:

4.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 H, 2 BB, 3 K, 65 pitches (40 strikes)

In NW Indiana, Comcast has been showing the Emergency Alert warning instead of the game. (there is no actual warning issued)

I'm probably the only person in NW Indiana who was vaguely interested in having the game on.

Chad Quals gets Bay to hit into a bases loaded dp. Buc's still lead 6-5. I've switched over to Astros audio - Milo and Ashby are not on - not a bad broadcast.

Pierre flies out to LF (foul territory) on 4 pitches.

Theriot grounds out to 3B. (3 pitches)

Jones's chopper to 1B ends the inning.

Still 0-0 after 4.

Can we get one baserunner? Just one. That's all I ask.

Sidebar: Can Jones hit a fastball on the inner half of the plate? I swear, a little leaguer with a 60 MPH heater could blow Jones away up and in. Pathetic.

Len and Bob are saying that Prior maybe ready for ST in 2007. Maybe?

It's good to see him battle with less then his good stuff yet still effective.

Does anybody know what website does those major league equivalent stats for minor league numbers? Do you know if they do them for pitchers as well as hitters?

Cause I'd be interested to see what Hill's projected major league equivalent stats would be on his season down in Iowa this year (7-1, 1.80 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, 135 Ks, 21 BBs, 62 hits in 100 IP). Regardless of what they might be, if the website even does them for pitchers, he seems to be doing a mighty fine job of translating them himself.
