From August 6th to September 7th, the Cubs have scored 134 runs in 29 games, giving them a runs-scored per game average of 4.6. I don't know the ML average, but this seems pretty decent to me.

Our offense was soooo bad the first 3/4 of the year that it's surprising to look at the game log and see how many high-scoring games have been wasted by poor pitching.

the NL average is 4.77

the cubs need to make up a lot of ground in both scoring and run prevention.
