Why is everybody filling in Izturis as the starting shortstop in 07? It shows what a great player he is in the fact that the Dodgers traded for Julio Lugo to play 2nd instead of using Izturis as Kent's backup. Izturis is batting 2-13 since coming over. You can't give up on Cedeno....yet. The guy has played 60 games more than last year (102 so far this year) and it is regular for a young kid (Cedeno is 23)to go through a draught in the 2nd half of season. A SS/2B combo of Izturis/Cedeno is not going to work out. Cedeno stays and Izturis leaves unless he wants to become this year's Neifi Perez. Cedeno can be flexible at which up the middle position he plays based on who we get in free agency. We are lucky we didnt get Furcal he's made 21 errors so far, 4 more than Cedeno.
