Glendon Rusch lasted just 1 2/3 innings, but Angel Guzman bailed out the bullpen with 5 1/3 innings of solid relief. ---Cubs.com

Im really starting to be impressed by these rookie pitchers.

First Marmol, now Guzman?

Lets hope this is not beginners luck..

It's still just one good outing for Guzman. I hope he continues to pitch like this but until I see him do it a couple more times I'm not jumping on the BandWGN.

i have said this most of the season...i would rather be young and bad than old and bad.

the only reason rusch should pitch is to try to get his value up. if he is around after the break(and pitching)..someone has to be fired

You just wish the Cubs would commit to these young guys and be patient for results. Look at the Tigers. They suffered through some horrible seasons with Martoh, Robertson and Bonderman, but now they are reaping the rewards.

I'd like to see Guzman, Marmol and Hill all get multiple turns in the rotation at some point through the rest of the season. They might also consider shutting down Marshall (or at least cutting him back) at some point.

I agree...I see no reason Rusch ever starts again....and I'm thinking the same with Pierre...let Pie come up and play....

fans should throw Twinkies™ on the field next time Rusch gets on the mound. :D

only if they are filled with pointy hard objects
