Tribune Shareholder Wants a Breakup

The idea would be a new owner (i.e. Mark Cuban) would clean house once taking over and put competent people in the Pres/GM/Manager positions.

I’m starting to hear rumblings of not one, but two upcoming sales of teams. This could get interesting

 

Could the Cubs be one of those teams?

The only thing that would be better than Cuban buying the Cubs and cleaning house would be if the Cubs were literally incorporated and sold to the public, like the Green Bay Packers: http://www.packers.com/stockholders/

 

NSBBers could then buy a majority of the shares and elect a board of directors & executive committee who subscribe to building a team Moneyball-style .... ok, that's enough from me, I haven't fantasized that much since that Farrah Fawcett red swimsuit poster came out in '77 :lol: (I'm dating myself here no doubt)

Dusty is not the only problem the Cubs have -- certainly not their main problem. If a David Glass or Bill Wirtz-type bought the Cubs? Yes, it CAN get worse.
