I have this Cubs watch that I got back in 98 (I think). Anyway, it stopped working and I just tossed in the desk drawer.

Decided to clean out the drawer and I found that watch. I took it to the watch repair place, and it turned out that all it needed was a new battery.

The guy who fixed it said, "Well now that this watch has started, maybe the Cubs will start their offense." If it hadn't been so funny I might have slugged him.

Sigh. Here's hoping; I have done my part, now let the team do theirs.

Well I also have one of those neon clocks with the Cubs logo. So I'll invoke karma (or something) by turning on the neon during the game tonight.

Unless time has run out for the Cubs.

I'll wear my hat tonight. Previously, I only wore the hat when going to games, as whenever I wore it at home, we would get pounded.

But I haven't been to a game in a while. Maybe it needs to release that good luck its been storing up.

I think the Cubs need a new "battery," one that knows how to run a baseball team. :)

Maybe we need to bring back Julio Zuleta to put a "charge" back into the Cubs' bats.

A coworker showed up from her vacation yesterday and had out of the blue bought me a Wrigley Field Christmas ornament. I hang it in the middle of my kitchen and they end up winning. I am taking all the credit for this one.

In short, whatever everyone did yesterday and today, DO AGAIN FOREVER. We can't take anymore chances!

Is your coworker going to be able to come back from vacation every day and bring you an ornament back? If so I'd like to know where you work.
