Ok, when I watch a game 'live' I have no problems at all. Really worth it in my opinion. But when games go on late like in LA or last night (late for me, I'm in England, we're 6 hours ahead) I pay for MLB.TV so I can watch them the next day.

But it never works the next day. Not at all. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone else know what could be the difference between watching it live and archived that would make me not be able to watch this games? This is really frustrating. :x :x :x

No, I've never had that problem. As long as the video is archived it should be available

Yeah, I'm trying to watch last night's game and it won't connect. (It's archived)

It'll say "Connecting to media" for about 3 minutes, and then just say "Ready" and not play anything. ARGH.

I have a diferent problem. My zip code just happens to be a "double blackout" area. I can't watch games involving either the Astros or the Rangers. This is true even if there isn't a local broadcast available for either team, and even if the game is not a home game for either team. That sucks because it shafts a lot of fans in the area. I ask why?

The juice box is 260 miles rom here and the "Ballpark in Arlington" is 220 miles. It's not as though attending the games live is really an option for most of us.

Even if there was a local braodcast, I couldn't watch it at work, but I could at least keep up with teh streaming service. But of course it's blacked out.

Phooey. It's the last time they are getting my money.

The worst part? Unless WGN carries the game, I cannot watch Astros/Cubs matchups.

Oh, I see. I've had that problem recently with audio and video through MLB. I thought it might have something to do with my firewall so I made some adjustments and it worked (I also rebooted in between so I'm not really sure which one step cured the problem).

Yeah, I'm behind my university's proxy server, but there's not much I can do about that. The thing is, some archived games work and others don't. Not only that, but the LIVE games work all the time. You'd think that if there was a problem, it would also occur in the live games.... :?

Hmmm, that sucks. Sorry. I guess the best news is that you have all of the 2006 and 2007 seasons to view the games. :?

Figured it out!! And it was all on the MLB.TV FAQs.... #-o

1. Pull down the Tools menu and go to Options.

2. Select the Network tab.

3. Uncheck the top two Streaming Protocol circles: Multicast and UDP. Leave TCP and HTTP checked. (You can also try and uncheck TCP.)

It didn't work until I unchecked all three. Sorry to burden the forum, you can delete this thread if you want.

You're actually lucky compared to me. I live in Memphis and the Cardinals, Reds, and Braves games are all blacked out. It really sucks to have two NL Central opponents blacked out. The thing is St. Louis is like 5 hours from here and Cincinnati is probably 8 hours away. It makes no sense.

Cincinnati being blacked out for you is weird. I live about 7 hours from Los Angeles and 8 from San Diego but I'm not blacked out on those games. I only get the A's and Giants blacked out.
