Everyone talks about hitters but few mention pitchers.

Yeah, which is a bit of a suprise, but it is much easier to indentify hitters who all of a sudden have seen huge drops in production the last year or two. Has there been a pitcher caught yet??

I assume you mean caught by MLB... a couple of pitchers but I only remember Juan Rincon's name.

Edit: Rafael Betancourt was also caught.

I could be wrong, but I think a Rockies pitcher was also suspended.

Ryan Franklin for the Mariners was also supsnded, I'm pretty sure.

remember that one as well, dont recall the Rockies pitcher.

They make a big deal about hitters gaining power juicing but there seems to be a ton of pitchers throwing 95.

Mike Morse from the Mariners was suspended but I wasn't aware of a Franklin suspension.

Add Carlos Almanzar of TX to the list.

I wonder if there were a lot of guys throwing 95 in the 70's and before......anybody know?

I dont think there was as many, but that is not really a good comparison because there are more sophisticated ways of working out an arm to achieve the speed. Todays athlete compared to a 70's athlete are night and day in terms of athleticism and strength.
