This is totally my opinion, but I would not be surprised if Hendry may be putting his foot down on playing Cedeno with Baker. From what I read, Hendry seems committed to wanting to see the young players in the lineup. If Baker decides to not play them, then that may be a trigger for Baker to get fired.

Again, this is entirely my impression and not based on any solid evidence.

You never know what kind of conversations take place behind closed doors. Its entirely possible that Hendry has put his foot down about these 2 guys getting consistant playing time. Id love to see Baker test this, if the law has been laid down, so to speak. Id like to see him fired as soon as possible, I dislike him that much. The reason the Braves are so good year after year is because they are able to plug holes on thier roster with guys from thier own system. The Braves would never have made the playoffs last year if Baker was running them, he'd have played washed up old guys over some of those young guys that did such a steallar job over there last year. Developement of young talent is key to fielding a consistantly winning team. I guess the reason they have stuck with Baker so long is that he is a "players manager" and guys (older veteran guys I guess) love to play for him. I certainly hope to see someone else managing this team next year, and perferably by the All-star break, though I doubt that will happen unless we get off to an Abysmal start.

Dusty came in and had people expecting to win.It worked in 03.They fell apart at the end of 04 and last year was terrible.Dusty was not known as a great manager in Frisco. He created an successful enviorment in which his teams won. So,you live with his shortcomings as you go to the playoffs nearly every year. When you don,t get to the playoffs the last to years like us,then the shortcomings are noticed.I believe he needs at least 87 wins to be brought back.500 should not be acceptable for 4 mil a year.

Cedeno is great fielding the ball. It's his throws that aren't accurate.

his throws tail in to the runner, remember?

"it just isn't true enough"

ronny cedeno: the man with the false throw.
