While I still agree that Japan is probably the better of the two teams I don't think they are so much better that we should be surprised that they lost to Korea. Korea's offense is no great shakes, but they proved in the first round that their pitching was probably the best of pool A. (As one would expect as they have several solid-good MLB pitchers on their roster.) If the two teams played ten games I'd think Japan would probably win six or seven, but it's clear they do not totally outclass the Koreans.
