Although, there is one place that's worse. EAST Dbq, just across the river in Illinois. I can never hear the words River Queen again and think clean, wholesome family thoughts.

It's been 15 years since I've heard East Dubuque without being accompanied by snickers and "oh my god"s.

Well, you should never, EVER, get strippers in DBQ. the mere thought of it is making my stomach churn. If you find yourself on a bus with a stripper from Dbq, don't wait for the bus to stop. Jump, and pray you got off in time to avoid the delousing.

For a milisecond there I read that as "DQ". As in Dairy Queen.

We actually saved the strippers for when we got back. Bus took us somewhere...don't remember much.

As for "the other side of the river"...don't want to offend anyone, but WOW, worst town ever. River Queen...don't get me started.

Well the strip where the bars and stuff are bad. the town itself is actually nice and there are good people. But if you ever go again make sure to head to Mulgrew's for Foot-long chili dogs with cheese and onions. It'll smack the hangover right out of you.

A couple of Thanksgivings ago, my cousins and I had a few too many and decided to head "East". The only place open on Thanksgiving was the River Queen. We made our cousin who was only 18 drive, so nobody was harmed during our trip. They let him in the bar too...

Back to the story. We were in the bar for maybe 40 minutes before a fight broke out and they kicked everyone out. We then headed over to Mulgrew's for the Chili Dogs. When we got back to the family Thanksgiving, yes, the entire family was still giving thanks, my uncle knew exactly where we went because my cousin had chili all over his shirt. Good times...

As for the rest of the town, yes it is very nice, but the bars down by the river tarnish it.
