As an organisation we generally develop a lot of pitching prospects rather than position players. Arizona is known to be a pitchers nightmare during spring training ball staying up etc. This year we need to see good/Excellant peformances from the likes of Guzman/Hill/Brownlie so that we can at least plan a rotation after '06. Would the moving of our Spring Training facility benefit our pitchers rather than getting lit up in the arizona sun?. just an idea feel free to discuss and criticise!!!....

No...

As a Cub fan, the only place I can remember the Cubs playing ST at is Ho Ho Kam. Now, granted I may not be old enough (mid 20's) to remember anything differently, but when I hear Spring Training, I think of Ho Ho Kam and Arizona. Call me a traditionalist, but I wouldn't do it.

Let's hope that the pitchers you mention do really well in ST and can prove they can handle the air/sun/etc. If they can, then they should be able to handle Wrigley.

I also disagree because if we take your line of reasoning outward, no professional organization would want to have spring training in Arizona.

Given that the alternative is Florida -shudder-, I think AZ is as good a place as any!
