If that ends up being the case, let me assure you that Dusty will move to the top of my Most-Hated List for trying his hardest to ruin every pitcher who put on a Cubs uniform during his tenure. Cripes, he should have been fired after the Chad Fox debacle. That was inexcuseable. Maybe I missed something with Fox. The guy blew out his arm. I think that had a lot more to do with the rest of his career than his brief stint with the Cubs. He was worked way too often. The day he blew out his arm was the first time he had pitched on back-to-back days. It doesn't take a genius to see that he shouldn't have been pitching then after rehabbing his arm. (or whatever it was that was wrong with him) I'll let another Cubs site explain this: I remember watching it. Dusty officially made Fox the closer and even so started to pitch him in non-save situations. Sure enough he blew out his arm. There's no doubt in my mind the pitcher-killer had something to do with it.

Not missing much on the PC. He just replied with short answers and you can tell he was ticked but he did not blow up. He did say he will give Ohman opportunities to throw the ball so he has to pitch better.

Why wouldnt they put Soriano on the DL? I would think they would want Soriano to rest the hammy a bit more but I guess Hnedry feels different about that.

Better bench Murton forever, then! Stop being dramatic. I'm just saying, through what I've seen of the season, Floyd's been a better player. And we NEED to win right now, not play Murton for the heck of it. You disagree with either of those statements? There don't seem to be many people who think we can win this year. Everyone is like "Floyd is old, what happens then?" Right now, Floyd is producing, Murton isn't. In this weak division, anyone can win, and as last year showed, all you need to do is make the playoffs and then ANYTHING can happen. I'm a Murton fan but right now I'd rather see Floyd out there.

I'd put him in the bullpen unless he refuses. If so, it's DFA time. There's absolutely no reason we even place him into the bullpen. This guy is done. Just release him.

Ohman started out bad last year and did well after that rough start. I wouldn't get rid of him so easily.
