  1. Perhaps they had Longoria as their BPA. Sure they could use pitching, but Longoria looks to be a stud for many many years if his first year of pro ball is any indication.
  2. when did you pick up freel? Good catch. I do not have Freel. I'd be a little concerned if I had taken Freel in the fifth round also

  4. Sabathia already been taken IMB.
  5. I posted while starting my car this morning and I was really late for work. My bad.
  6. As a non Bears fan in a room full of hardcore Bears fans tonight, it was tough. I wasn't rooting either way (I was rooting for me to win mostly) loudly, but I was just amazed at how embarassing the Bears played tonight. The game was lost on the play of the defensive line and Rex. No pressure at all on Peyton, and they could not stop any interior runs AT ALL. Seriously, Tank, Ian, Boone, etc, were getting eaten up and allowed the line to get into Briggs and Urlacher to spring for consistently strong runs. Ogunleye was such a non factor tonight, in addition to Alex Brown, however, I bring up Ogunleye because he is somebody that HAS to go from this team. I don't know exactly what his cap hit is for 07, but is probably really high and for his mediocre production... they could do a lot better (ie. Anderson who certainly did not see enough of the field tonight and using it for Briggs and possibly Brown back on a cheap deal.) Hunter Hillenmeyer was terrible tonight. The safeties were awful. Urlacher and Briggs were factors only when the Colts decided to run the stupid stretch play which isn't going to work against this fast of a defense. Terrible tackling. And what more can you say about how bad Rex was tonight? I don't care if it is a slick field, slick ball, etc, he made some awful throws. He also could not hit guys in stride at all, throwing wide, behind guys, throwing the float ball and his handling of snaps all night was sickening. People in our group were enraged at his miserableness. As for media scrutiny in the upcoming days, after that pathetic performance and Des Clark saying the "Colts wanted it more" (per Laurence post game with ob and doug) must have been disheartening for Bears fans to hear. The Bears got outplayed much more than the score indicated. This easily could have been a 3-4 score game.
  7. Josh Beckett- SP Boston Red Sox
  8. Holy moley is this going to be a fun gambling game! 20 straight up on Colts Great square numbers for 125 a quarter (7 Colts, Bears 0; Colts 4, Bears 1) and my 2500 a quarter squares have yet to be revealed!
  9. Duhon and Griff in at the same time? Did Thabo kill Skiles' dog or something?

  11. Nice Bulls run, up 9.
  12. Why hasn't my line drive to the face to end Roger's career occurrred yet?? This overdrama from him is painful every spring.
  13. It won't keep the pricetag down. Gordon and Deng are still going to ask for max deals. Did it hurt Tyson at all when he made a grand total of 0 ASG appearances? They can ask for whatever they want. I'd like a max deal from my employer but my odds of getting it are nil. I don't think either player is a max player. If the Bulls are really committed to their draft pick this year, then Deng is expendable. (given the huge depth @ SF) Gordon isn't replacable at this point, but I don't think he's a max player. Regardless, I think the Bulls set themselves up in a fine position to negotiate extensions for these two (if they view them as long term pieces here) with the structure of Ben and Kirk's deals.
  14. Sweet, this keeps the pricetags down! Thanks coaches! Who cares about the all star game anyway? It's a bunch of no defense lameness.
  15. C: 1B: Ryan Howard 2B: Brian Roberts SS: 3B: OF: Manny Ramirez OF: Jason Bay OF: Juan Pierre Util SP: Felix Hernandez SP: Matt Cain RP: Billy Wagner RP: P: P: P: I think the offense is really balanced and the pitching has very very high K potential. Wins are sparse (though admittedly difficult to predict) and ERA is suspect at this point as these are "potential" guys. Wagner's a horse in the pen. I'd say best offense so far... a lot of great average hitters, loads of speed (looking at almost 90 or so steals from Roberts and Pierre alone, which is usually at the very least good enough for middle of the pack...) and huge power potential from the other three. Really like the roster so far.
  16. I forgot to PM him. I was in a mad rush to get to class on time. Apologies.
  17. We all hate the guy in real life... but in roto, he can be really useful: OF Juan Pierre Los Angeles Dodgers.
  18. I'd also like to add that Wayne Larrivee was as bad as I've ever heard him.
  19. Wait, you mean PJ being isolated against Elton Brand isn't our play of choice?? Tonight was really apparent where we need a low post scorer. The bigger guards of LA were circling the Bulls guards all night and completely neglecting the interior because there's really nothing to fear. Even when Big Ben is healthy.
  20. 1-1) Albert Pujols 1-2) Jose Reyes 1-3) Johan Santana 1-4) Alfonso Soriano 1-5) Alex Rodriguez 1-6) Carlos Beltran 1-7) Ryan Howard 1-8) Miguel Cabrera 1-9) Carl Crawford 1-10) Chase Utley 1-11) Derrek Lee 1-12) Chris Carpenter 2-1) David Wright 2-2) Lance Berkman 2-3) Grady Sizemore 2-4) David Ortiz 2-5) Vladimir Guerrero 2-6) Manny Ramirez 2-7) Mark Teixeira 2-8) Travis Hafner 2-9) Derek Jeter 2-10) Carlos Lee 2-11) Matt Holliday 2-12) Carlos Zambrano 3-1) Jake Peavy 3-2) Aramis Ramirez 3-3) Justin Morneau 3-4) Joe Mauer 3-5) Paul Konerko 3-6) Miguel Tejada 3-7) Jason Bay 3-8) Hanley Ramirez 3-9) Jimmy Rollins 3-10) Roy Halladay 3-11) Brandon Webb 3-12) Dan Haren 4-1) Garrett Atkins 4-2) Ichiro 4-3) Vernon Wells 4-4) Brian McCann 4-5) Roy Oswalt 4-6) Felix Hernandez 4-7) Ben Sheets 4-8) Bobby Abreu 4-9) Jeremy Bonderman 4-10) Andruw Jones 4-11) Victor Martinez 4-12) Jermaine Dye 5-1) Michael Young 5-2) Robby Cano 5-3) Rafael Furcal 5-4) Francisco Rodriguez 5-5) Bill Hall 5-6) Cole Hamels 5-7) Brian Roberts 5-8) Joe Nathan 5-9) Adam Dunn 5-10) Ryan Zimmerman 5-11) Carlos Guillen 5-12) Chone Figgins 6-1) Daisuke Matsuzaka 6-2) Jim Thome 6-3) John Lackey 6-3) B.J. 21. I got the email too. Then a phone call for a second one out of stock (I ordered three) They do offer you the Wood for 50 too though if you call in. Everything still good, Willy??
  22. I'm a big fan of my team thus far in all offensive aspects (steals are a bit lacking, but I may pick some up soon...) and two potentially dominating pitchers. From a power perspective, I like my chances of getting 12 points in the HR and RBI categories with guys who hit for a really good average and will score around 100 runs. 1B: Howard 2B: Roberts OF: Manny OF: Bay SP: Felix (I may have reached with him, but his high ceiling was too much to pass up when I really need a starter) RP: Wagner
  23. Most definitely...I was happy to get in on the front end of it as I think there are 4 elite closers and was happy to get one of them. Unfortunately for everyone else, they are all off the board. My exact rationale. I'm hoping Wagner posts a serious sub 1 WHIP again :D
  24. Cubs home replicas are a terrible looking jersey.
