    We will have our home away from home rocking while the Stros bitch and moan about having to play a "home" game in the Cubs' backyard. Price gouging sounds as if it is occurring, but I feel we'll have a strong enough contingent there to bother the Stros to the point of them complaining about it and using it as an excuse. I predict a romp. 5-0. Our beloved dominant Z will return with 9 no hit/shutout innings and a solid single. Drayton will be sobbing in his lake filled streets. Go Cubs.

    I just got back from Busch Stadium. Holy hell, was that an awesome game! The most nerve racking eighth and ninth innings that I can remember being at live. The adrenaline was outstanding and seeing our closer take out the best player in the game to win it was a fabulous site to behold. I had friends come down for Chicago for the game, along with a few friends who are Cardinals fans and it was a great back and forth affair all night. I love this team.

    This will be short and sweet. This will be my third and final Cubs/Cardinals game this season at Busch and I am thoroughly expecting the Cubs to not let me down. Our beloved Rich Harden will be taking on Cub reject, Todd Wellemeyer. On a more serious note, Thursday is also September 11. It is important to remember those who lost their lives in the horrible tragedy a short seven years ago. It will be on my mind all day long. Godspeed goes out to all of the families and friends who lost loved ones back in 2001.

    Who thought the rams would contend? They have very little talent and an awful coach. The thought of that team winning more than 5 games is absurd.

    Tonight never happened. Yesterday never happened. Its all a mirage. This crap will cease. We still control our own destiny and still have the best team in the league. This is the year that we have all dreamed for and we have put too much into it to give up and be a pessimistic patty. This season has been about enjoying the ride of rooting for the best team in baseball. Nobody wants to hear our whining about struggling down the stretch. Every team struggles at some point of the season and this is a better time than the playoffs. Every team should envy us based on this year's success. Wednesday night, Theodore Roosevelt Lilly will take the hill against Braden "LaVern" :lol: Looper. I have no doubt in my mind that come Thursday when I am sticking kleenex in my nose because my seats are so high, that I will be cheering from the mountain-highs for our beloved Cubs to take the series. And we will. It happened the last time I was. Its destiny. Fret not, the slumping ends right here, right now. Suck it Milwaukee.

    Anyone who is interested in the snoozefest that is Michigan/Notre Dame needs to have themselves examined.

    seriously, who is the best team in the big east? that's definitely going to be the tallest midget. It is down right now but the difference with the BE and the other BCS conferences is that a BE team will travel to a non BCS team while the others will not. WVU lost at ECU, USF went to UCF and won in OT in an emotional end of a series game. texas went to utep, minnesota went to bowling green, aTm went to new mexico, arkansas went to la-monroe, maryland went to middle tennessee st., texas tech went to nevada. that's 3 big east teams, 1 sec team, 1 big ten team and 1 acc team. last week va tech, mississippi st and boston college did it. next week ucla, arizona and wisconsin are doing it. so i'd say that whatever point you were trying to make isn't a good one. My point is EVERY BE team does it. Let me know when OSU, Penn St, Michigan, LSU, USC, Georgia do and it isn't on a neutral field. How about this year and next when OSU is playing USC on a home and home. How about OSU doing it a few years ago with Texas? I challenge you to find an OOC game for an upper echelon Big East that was just as difficult as that.
