  1. Sure seemed like a missed holding call there...
  2. Can you believe the Bears only have one penalty!? Its like these refs left State College last night, met up with the Eagles and traveled to Soldier Field together!!!
  3. Much question on whether that last Howry was typed out as that or something else...
  4. You guys are pansies. Man up. Remember who the best team is. It is us. And we will prove it again in the playoffs. Go Cubs!
  5. Len and Bob are infinitely better than any Cub combination that I've previously heard in my life. Down to earth, culturally relevant, insightful commentary, sporadic humor, and a great chemistry make them a joy to listen to. My hat is off to you, Len, and I hope that you are here for a very long time.
  6. Romo is a great QB, but man, he has some awful awful moments that hamper him. I would not be shocked to see the Cowboys lose their first playoff game this year.
  7. I instantly got chills. What an amazing song.
  8. Magic Number 4. Time to make the Magic Number 2. Marquis outdueling Sheets will be one of the final crushing insults in a currently amazing September collapse for the Brew Crew. Cubs 6 Brewers 4. Fred, Omar, and the usual gang will bring you (useless, copyrighted Fred Hornkohl 16 September 2008) stats, photos, and positive emotion as we approach the division crown... I have to go to bed.
  9. To hell with you. ok Just joking around  You have to be careful with B, he has no sense of humor and hates pretty much all of the people who live in the south.
  10. aaaaaaaaaaaand the Eagles cover! thank god!!
  11. perhaps i'm a moron or else i have it wrong, but cubs.com has the game on csn, so that's what i changed it to. if wrong, then change it back....
  12. Yeah, I've been getting my days mixed up recently. Weird weekend. And Soul is a hater.
  13. The last two games have been amazing. Z has presented us with a no hitter, and Lilly showed that there is no weak link in the Cubs' dominating playoff rotation. Speaking of a dominating playoff rotation, The Brewers have the potential for one with CC Sabathia and Ben Sheets. CC will take the mound Tuesday night and the Cubs will work him hard getting him out before the end of the seventh, leaving with another deficit. CC has been excellent, while in the process of having his arm run into the ground by Brewers Manager Ned Yost. I mean former Brewers Manager Ned Yost. Damnit, that hurts to type. Why did they have to fire him now? It will matter not. This team is on a roll, as Fred's stats will show you and Omar's stats will show how awesome Dempster is at home. The nail has just received its first ping by the hammer. Lets add another two shots to it. Cubs 4 Brewers 2
  14. Lou must be taking lessons from Geo on the silent persuasion.
  15. MLB.com usually shows all 27 outs for free. Yeah, but I want to have something that I can watch again 5, 10 years from now. True. Plus I bet they will give us the Disastros announcers. Their wining would make it more enjoyable
  16. For Howry's and giggles, we should all try and guess how Ted Lilly will respond when he throws one tomorrow night
  17. Someone call the Ambulance quick... WAAAAA WAAAAA... Get no hit, I'll keep it that simple. Yeah, shocker that Astros fans aren't rational. Their team just got no-hit and, hey, their house might be destroyed by a hurricane. But let's mock them. Raisin, I don't think he was mocking their pitfalls of the hurricane. I know when my friends are complaining about something with irrationality, we refer to the "Waaambulance" all the time. If I'm wrong about it, well, then i'm an idiot ;)
  18. Copied and pasted from my lead in on Monday's game thread: Tonight was the apex of the Cubs' regular season and gives the fuel to the fans to overcome the lull that had be-fallen our beloved recently. But we have kept the faith and we received an amazing gift in the form of Carlos Zambrano's no hitter. It was a very special game. It was in our north rivals' home without them there and had the feel of being at Wrigley Field. The surreal nature of the game from the get go was soon overshadowed by our dominant starter showing why the Cubs are a major force to be reckoned with in the playoffs. We are fortunate enough to say a handful of times a year, "man, Big Z has no hit stuff, and he was finally able to deliver on that single game potential. From all of the Cubs fans, we say a hearty "thank you" to Big Z on a tremendous outing that we will not soon forget.
  19. I edited it. Was going off espn's projected starters. YOU SUCK ESPN!
  20. Big Z's Big Night http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2008/0914/mlb_u_zambrano02_412.jpg Tonight was the apex of the Cubs' regular season and gives the fuel to the fans to overcome the lull that had be-fallen our beloved recently. From all of the Cubs fans, we say a hearty "thank you" to Big Z on a tremendous outing that we will not soon forget. For Monday's game, its pretty obvious our reign of domination is going to continue against the hapless (against the cubs) Astros. Our stone cold killer faced Ted Lilly will try his hardest to follow Z's excellence and pitch a strong outing himself. It must suck for Brewers fans to see a road team throw a no hitter in their park not against them! Drayton McLane may need medical assistance for the angst that will be swelling over the next few days. The real alternative for ol' Mac is a session with Ozzie Guillen sitting in a dark room watching the Jack Nicholson flick, "Anger Management." It'll be an ol' romp day at the ol' road game that's really a home game because our fans rock the party. Cubs 8 Astros 2
  21. I hate UMfan. I think he's there. I received a call from him about 3 minutes ago. Pure pandemonium going on up there.
  22. This, my friends, is the icing on the proverbial regular season cake. I love this moment!
  23. Text from an NSBB'er there tonight regarding the crowd: 99% Cubs fans and very loud.
  24. I hope Jonathan Stewart runs for 300 yards. Stupid Houston game being cancelled making me have to sit Willis McGahee :(
