That 7-4 Chargers team that lost: Opening day in Dallas without Antonio Gates by 4. 20-17 in Denver. 24-22 to Pittsburgh in SD By 3 to Philly on a very fluke special teams play. Chargers to me should be 9-2 (the Dallas and Philly games as being ones they should have won) and are talented enough on BOTH sides of the ball to possibly beat the Colts. Oy. I was right about the Chargers. But I didn't see that humiliating loss to the Fins. Oy.

That package is stacked. I would prefer Stephen Drew over Jackson, but I wouldn't allow it to be a deal breaker with that kind of talent involved.

Its really awesome getting in another team's head. You become really vocal and loud and cocky. Other team (who is better than you) becomes disjointed and loses focus. We then win. My buddies and I aren't cutthroat bowlers, but our emphasis is having fun and getting under people's skins. Not being just total jerks to them like rubbing stuff in their face, just being loud and obnoxious. Not directed at you Mark but rant anyway: You can be loud all you want. Punch or kick something in the middle of my backswing and someone is going to have to pull me off of you. Loud drunks don't bother me since most times my game gets turned up a notch (usually involves asking other party to put their money where their mouth is) and then they just become drunks but the punching and kicking of crap or dropping the ball on the floor is unacceptable and will be stopped. I punch and kick stuff all the time. Most of the time not on the lane, but I punch my towel, throw my towel, throw my rosin bag (preferably at the lame dude on the other team), etc. What REALLY irritates me is when we get guys who after they throw a strike come onto your lane. Pet Peeve..

Thank god, I haven't, My family would disown me. Have you? I have done it and its an incredible strain on your body. I once did 48 straight games at an overnight charity event where every strike you got, you'd donate 50 cents to the cause. (I wish I could remember which it was)

Skiles is a straight shooter who values defense highly. That fits in with Artest's game. While I've heard Artest wouldn't mind letting his defense struggle if he were to get more touches, he'd still be an elite defender. And as someone who listens to Bulls games nearly every time they are on, I can safely say that I've never heard ANY player on the current roster who has said they hate Skiles. Perhaps you have some evidence to back up your claim.

or, we could just enjoy being average. Its not Skiles' fault that the personnel on this team is not better than a low playoff seed. This team will NEVER win anything unless they have a big (6'5 or up) guard because that's where this team gets destroyed. They can shoot over the top of us with ease and as good of shooters as these guys are, it absolutely kills us. I would love to see this team put together a package for either Pierce or Ron Artest. Probably would start with Ben Gordon and Tim Thomas for both those packages. Those guys would be invaluable for this team for next season. Enjoy the Knicks very high pick and draft a legit big man (Aldridge) and be ready for a run in the East next year. Both those guys are asking to be traded, who has the NTC, Manny? Yes, Manny has 10/5 status. Why would Manny want to go to Baltimore? Well, what if the Red Sox approached him with this: Manny, we know you want out, so we tried to accomodate you. The only team we found that would take you and give us what we would need to let you go is Baltimore. If you want to be traded, fine. We can do this deal with Baltimore. If you regect it, we will no longer pursue to trade you and you will either be a Red Sox or sit out the next three years. By the way, if you don't play, we won't pay you and we'll seek to recoup 3/5 of your signing bonus. But then you're working under a false pretense that Baltimore is going to be the only team to give up what's necessary for Manny. I think you're greatly underestimating the situation and that your scenario is entirely outlandish and unrealistic. EDIT: Also let me say regarding Kerry Wood (kinda off topic, but on the subject of NTC's, so I digress) I think he may accept a deal to a team if they were to give him a long term extension as part of a deal. That kind of opportunity really doesn't exist for Manny at this stage in his contract.
