    I was actually sitting here thinking I could cancel my 1pm hearing, leave after lunch and get there in plenty of time. Then turn around and get home in time to still get a bit of sleep. WTF is wrong with me???!!! Let me know if you go....I've thought about it too... Actually, I've got a buddy in Cincy...if the games still matter I'm driving over for the Sat and Sunday games the final weekend of the year... I went so far as checking tickets and looking for hotel rooms and then realized that's the same weekend that my wife has to read in a friend's wedding. Stupid people getting married and wrecking my fun. My mom's 50th B-day is saturday...so I "may" be forced to mis the Sat game and just drive over on Sunday....she'll have another one next year rigth?

    The vast majority of that stuff is copyrighted. I think we could write an "article" about the sounds/songs/calls with links that would be considered "fair use" under the copyright laws...althought its been a while since I took that class so if anyone's a copyright atty, I'll defer.

    I just listened to that song 15 times in a row on my ipod...(followed by "when the Cubs go Marching in"...my wife thinks I need help... :D My gf got home after a bunch of meetings and crap and I was talking to her on AIM, going on and on about the cubs game and Ron Santo going crazy and what not. Not very sensitive on my part, but she tried to act interested....sweet girl. My wife was watching the game with me...when Aram hit the double I just sat there stunned...she said "I can't believe you aren't going crazy jumping up and down"....I said, "I don't believe it actually happened"

    I think Demp is ok...just only use in SAVE situations...once it got to be 4 runs, it should have been Howry or Marmol....I think Demp was grooving them just trying to make them hit the ball...and they did...a long way.... the bottom of the ninth after Taguchi got on...my stomach was not good....too damn many happy cardinal fans around.... thank god he ended it...

    He's hit .233/.246 with 0 HRs since he's been there. His lack of production...heck, total collapse, amazes me...but I agree with you.

    If we get 16 more outtings like Trachsel gave us last night we will win the Central.

    Brewers will reasonably win 2/3 with Cincinnati, win 2/3 @ Houston (they are 11-4 against the 'Stros), lose 3/4 to Atlanta, beat StL 3/3 and split with SD....total 10-7 Thus the Cubs need to go 10-6 and have a nervous end of the month.... 85-77-CHC, 84-78-Milw, although I think the Cubs do better, Win 3/4 against StL, 2/3 against Cincinnati, 2/3 Pittsburgh, 2/3 against Florida and 2/3 against Cincinnati 11-5...86-76... Cubs reach 86 in Cinci full of Cub fans 9/29...while Milwaukee reaches 84 that night also, SD wins the final game for the WC by one game over surging CO. Baseball is estatic as two races come down to the wire. I don't think they'll sweep STL, and I think its realistic that they could lose on of the cincy or houston series....that being said...I'm not sure we'll win every series here on out either...

    You mean the one I'm looking out my window at right now...its not a secret :D Nobody parks there though. They all go to the $5 Famous Barr garage across the street, it seems. Yeah..I park at Kiener....but I get in there for free since I'm a monthly parker anyway....

    agreed x3 If we're to win it...we need major contributions from a lot of people like Floyd....and Jones...and Murton....and DeRosa...and Theriot....and maybe even...gasp...Kendall.... World Series are rarely won solely by the big name players having big series...its getting guys like Yadi Molina to go crazy with the bat...or having Craig Counsel get clutch hits...or Juan Pierre get on base.... I think if we get to the Playoffs Lee, Ramirez and Soriano will be important...but it usually seems, to me, that the role players play a much bigger "role" in the post season.

    I don't know...I think the comeback win after Howery gave up 6 runs in the top of the 9th against Colorado also has to get some serious consideration...that was right in the middle of the stretch where we won 10 of 11...a losing streak there would have killed us now...
