    It's fantastic. But it should be noted that there are a few ENTIRE SECTIONS in the lower level that were empty all game. I know they have had good attendance this year and lots of sellouts. So WTF, Brewer fan??? In the grand scheme of things they really don't have a huge fan base and will probably always struggle to fill that park during the week. Yeah...but with 6 games left and in the heat of a race...you gotta fill your stadium...

Pretty sure that's not true...I went to Atlanta to one of the games and I think the Braves beat them at least once...(checked schedule...they lost 2 of 3 to Atlanta) It's true... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/teams/schedule?team=hou&season=2004&seasonType=2&half=2 My bad...I thought you guys were talking about Houston 06...they won 9 in a row to get almost tied with STL, then lost 2 of 3 in Atlanta to end the season and miss out on the playoffs.

    Or...you know...the playoffs. I assumed this as well. A short term fix. yes, the plans are to completely resurface the field in the offseason Just Sod, or are they going to tear it down and relevel it like they need to?

    Everybody needs to stop freaking out. If I gave you the choice four days ago that the Cubs would take 3 out of 4 from the upcoming four lefties, I guarantee you everybody here would take that. Exactly....we're 6-2 over our last 8 games...not a Cub fan on earth that wouldn't have said "I'll take that" 8 games ago.

    I actually would rather play the Mets...I think we match up better against them in a short series than a long one....maybe I'm crazy...but I think the Padres could be really tough in a short series if their pitching is lined up right.

    A lot of those are very old pictures...One even had Neifi...I shuddred when I saw him in a Cubs uni again...the 2007 version needs updating.

    BERNIE F$#(*ING MAC. I hate him soooo much to this day. Anyone else find it amusing when jyoung55 talks to moorecg seeing as they have the same avatar? Do we? I had no clue....I turned avatars off a long time ago...makes it much easier to have this page up at work w/o being super obvious that its not work content.

    Oh...I think we're being appropriately realistic...I think, no, I believe, the Cubs will win, this feels different...I like Lou, and I like this team....I think the talk is just a reminder that we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves...we've got work left to do and I think they'll do it.

    I remember in Game 6 hearing (Belushi wasn't it?) Say "Lets go Champs" during the 7th inning stretch...I cursed him so...saying "we're not champs yet"....I'll never forget thinking that, and what happened after.

    I have to side with Hendry on this one. I'm sick of that stupid $300 million spending spree line. THE CHICAGO CUBS DIDN'T SPEND $300 MILLION THIS PAST OFFSEASON. Although I do agree that it's not really a farm system outperforming expectations. I wonder if for the next 7 years they'll give the Cubs credit for working miracles by spending absolutely nothing....I mean, you know, since they spent the whole 300 million this year.

    I'll take what I can get...no offense to Estrada...but at this point, whatever gets the Cubs closer to the playoffs, I'm for it.

    I've thought about it too...I think there are two questions....how much would a hypothetical WS ticket cost, and how much would a "clinching game" cost...I "think" you could get one game for $1500/2000 at game day....however, if it really wuld happen that a clinching game might possibly happen in Chicago, only God knows what they'd go for...hypothetically of course.

    I leave for vacation in 4 hours (Mexico, near Aulcopoco (sp?) till Sunday night...I'm taking XM radio with me (god I hope it works) if not...could you guys go ahead and make sure we're up by 3-4 games by the time I get back...thanks... Baseball seasons on the way.... well you better get ready for a brand new day..... The Cubs are gonna win today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
