I don't think anyone expected he'd have a 1.100 OPS at this point. I would've expected the slugging to be reasonably high, but he can't sustain the OBP. Well he never walked a lot in the minors. Now batting in front of Pujols, a position where you will always get pitched too, he is walking. Now part of that is the Cardinals have played a lot of home games lately, but still it is ridiculous that his patience is getting better at the big league level. I heard this morning that his BABIP is something like .400...that seems unlikely to be sustainable.
