I want to scream profanities after today's game...but Tim says we can't so I'll go with ugh. I'm looking for a bright note....first is that the Brewers play 13 of their next 16 on the road where they suck...second...while cards are winning against an awful pirates team, their starter de jure got knocked out in the 2nd....and they've got a LOT of games left in a row...third...Soriano seems to be heating up...4th..Marquis pitched very well.... anything I'm missing?

I don't think anyone expected he'd have a 1.100 OPS at this point. I would've expected the slugging to be reasonably high, but he can't sustain the OBP. Well he never walked a lot in the minors. Now batting in front of Pujols, a position where you will always get pitched too, he is walking. Now part of that is the Cardinals have played a lot of home games lately, but still it is ridiculous that his patience is getting better at the big league level. I heard this morning that his BABIP is something like .400...that seems unlikely to be sustainable.

I don't think they have yet....its only stopped raining for maybe 15 min or so...not sure if the tarp is off...I'll have to look outside the other end of the building.

Looks like its darkening up. Gotta try getting thru 5, and let the rains come. that would be outstanding...quick 5 inning game...don't use the pen...get the win....get out of town....

They've got no off-days left to reschedule games...it'd be doubleheaders for makeups at this point... But I dont think Pitt goes back to Stl, so it would be a game made up at the end probably. With that said I bet they stay as late as they need to to get this game in. Yeah...I'd say that unless it rains till midnight they get it in....(still raining though and doesn't look to stop anytime soon)....another option woudl be to do a double header AT Pitt...or, one back here at the end of the year "if necessary")
