    I was watching one of the Cardinals games this past weekend, and the Cubs were down two runs in the 7th. I was on edge like %#$@. One of the Cubs came up to bat, the whole team was clapping to the music. Really put things in perspective. I love this team!!

    It's a shame Stoney went to the South Side. On the contrary, I think Stoney & the white sox are a perfect fit. I liked Stone when he was with the Cubs, but now I realize I was deceived.

    Where am I spazzing out? All I want them to do is to improve their chances this season because they're a competitive team and it irks me when Cubs fans act like they shouldn't bother because the offense has struggled. The FO has assured us they'd make those type of moves when they were competitive, so it's hardly an unrealistic expectation. Last time I checked, the trade deadline doesn't end till tomorrow.

    I think the Cubs starting pitching is good enough to get it done. The bullpen may be the big question mark. The real key, IMO, will be our young hitters. Fowler, Soler, Rizzo, Bryant, Castro, Russell....sheet, man, if they click, we are going to be freakin' dangerous and feared.

    I don't think so. I just think it's hard to justify raising prices for a team that finished with 100 losses. This is a very modest cut and I don't think this will effect Epstein & Co. rebuilding plans at all. Are you kidding? They're already fielding trade requests for Rizzo and Castro. I hope this is sarcasm.

    I don't think that's a thing, Sveum has/had very little to do with Rizzo performing so well so far Sveum was who got Rizzo to shorten his swing. I assume this was in spring then? Who was responsible for making sure things stayed the same while he was in AAA then? good question

    I find it hard to believe that the 3 bench players mentioned by Sveum would be better than adding Jackson as a third. Is he hinting that he wants Jackson to get more time in Triple A?
