  1. really is that necessary? was trying to have a normal baseball discussion you have been owned these first 2 games. the mets have beaten the top 3 pitchers in the national league this season you can hate all you want. the umps can help you its not gonna matter Normal baseball discussion by taunting Cubs fans? Please don't lie.
  2. Good night forum. May I wake up tomorrow and see an incredible come from behind win.
  3. Yawn. One more inning and I've had about enough of this ^%&$. I guess we'll get them on Tuesday.
  4. please shut the [expletive] up already it was weird, admit it. at least this is more like giants/will clark than padres/garvey and marlins/beckett. at least we ain't getting close. I was just thinking that I was starting to hate Daniel Murphy more than Steve Garvey. Geez I wish the Cubs could catch some breaks and capitalize on them. Not feeling it this series so far. Nothin much to cheer about so far in this series.
  5. No one's panicking, at least not me. Am I a little concerned? Sure. Am I cautiously optimistic about tonight's game? Yeah. Am I as dead set sure we are going to win this series? No. I want to see the Cubs in the World Series just as anybody here.
  6. Lol. Hey man, nothing wrong with being honest about our feelings -- good or bad. Robots can be negative ..... or positive.
  7. Because we're fans. Sorry dude, I'm not a prophet and I can't predict all the dongs and the surety in which we were supposed to win last night's game.
  8. Stakes are higher, everything is amplified. LOSER TALK. It is possible the Cubs lose this game tonight. Nothing wrong with calling tonight a must win situation.
  9. Playing in Chicago in April and May as well.
  10. Might have to wait until game 3 for Bryant - dude's got something in his head about hitting on the road vs. home. I'd start Coghlan tonight. Coghlan instead of Bryant? It'll never happen.
  11. I'm going to approach this game the way I do all Cubs games -- hopeful, but cautious. I suppose I understand all the over-the-top optimism, but we are only setting ourselves up for a huge disappointment if we lose. Having said that, I am nervous about tonight's game, but more positive than I was last night. After the first time through our line-up, we did start hitting the ball better, the Mets got a few lucky breaks, and we have God going on the mound for us. I don't like to say "must-win" so early in a series, but I like our chances if we win tonight. I don't like them if we lose. Go Cubs!
  12. The most frustrating thing about this game is the home plate umpire.
  13. The only time this post season I sat silent when the Cubs donged one out.
  14. We need tomorrow night. Here's hoping Jake gets back to his god-like pitching.
  15. Amen to that. What terrible coverage. Pre-game. Graphics. Announcers. And now camera work.
