    Week 3 wrapup: *Cowher Power 114.48 PureSweetness 148.60 This matchup had some high scoring. PureSweetness could have won by more if he had played his healthy players, instead Vinetari and Droughns put up goose eggs. *The Del-Homies 139.36 MonstersOfTheMidway 105.72 MonstersOfTheMidway relied too much on Colts and Bears players and Dillon didn't do much for him.Del-Homies had solid numbers from everybody in a balanced win. *Crime-free Bengals 93.54 The Hawks 82.92 Crime-free Bengals doesn't have any bengals on his team, I guess that's why he is crime free. *imb goes deep 81.96 GoPackGo 93.74 imb goes deep gets the loss because he forgets about the bye week. He might be trying for the #1 draft pick falling to 0-3. *Windy City D! 102.12 Neifi loves Vasher 109.08 the closest game of the week Chad Johnson is double teamed the whole game. *Bingo Long All-Stars 130.28 DBZ 82.32 DBZ has 2 players score goose eggs. He probably forgot to set his lineup but he still beats IMB. Don't forget to set your lineup for this week. The first week of byes are tough. IMB- please check in, GoPackGo and Bingo Long All-Stars have had limited activity too.

    I wouldn't say Minnesota is a pushover. They have a decent offense and can run the ball. Michigan always seems to have a good pass defense but if you can establish the run you have a chance with passing. Purdue's defense is improving. They got some key players back last week (Hall-LB), and Jaycen Taylor-RB looked good. I have a feeling that their defense won't be able to stop ND and it could turn into a shootout. Of course it could end up as a blowout and I mute the Notre Dame Broadcasting Company (NBC) to avoid all the Brady Quinn for Heisman talk by the announcers.

    I am for a Pagan/Jones platoon in CF and signing someone to fill in a corner spot. That would be better than Pierre and Jones.

    I could make the season start week 3 and make the first 2 weeks kind of a warm up/preseason. Basically wipe the slate clean. This would take a majority vote (at least 7, myself obstaining). I am pretty sure that changing the draft date changed some scoring categories, I originally had some bonus points for long TD's but those categories can't be added now.

    I changed the receiving TD's to be 6 points. That was my mistake. I am wondering if something happened when I changed the draft date. I originally thought it would be too late to change it. Sorry about the confusion. If there are any other changes that we would want to make to the stat categories I will set a deadline of games this week. vI also changed ( Pass Yds points changed from '50 yards, 6 pts' to '300 yards, 6 pts' ). My intention was to give some bonus points for a good game and 50 yards passing is a gimme.

    yeah, how about signing the starters before you spend all your money on a veteran bench.

    Murton isn't the reason that the Cubs lost 83 games, but he isn't all-star caliber either. The Cubs need to get better at other positions before attempting to upgrade in LF. 2B, CF, SS, RF in that order. Trading for Wells and signing Soriano makes SS and RF problems managable. Moving Jones to CF (platoon with Pagan) opens up RF. Sign CLee and move Murton to RF, but then can you afford Soriano and a lesser OF defense. Traditionally LF is a power bat, but if you have enough power from the traditional non-power bats then it is managable to have Murton in LF.

    The problem is that Hendry would be the one trading him. He would turn down an offer of good prospects for an oft injured former gold glover who had a career year 2 years ago and hasn't done much since hoping he will catch fire again in a Cubs uniform.

    I think it would be cool if the OSU-Texas game were close and they ended up 1-2 at the end of the year and the team that lost got their revenge. Is there a way to turn off the '8+)'=8)?

    Can Moore play 2B? SS? They said that they tried him out at SS in Iowa. They have also tried out Coats at SS in Iowa and moved him to RF and brought in Augie in the late innings. If they resign Ramirez then they could move Moore to 2B.

    Not at all? I have a friend who is a Purdue fan and he has bought a game and watched it on his computer before. Is that possible this week? Also to anybody that knows, are games available PPV this year individually or do you need to buy a whole weekend package like last year for like $14? Looks like the week is the cheapest option for ESPN Gameplan online at $22. Sadly, it doesn't start until Saturday. No Thursday games. according to the schedule no TV for the first game and the next 2 weeks are on ESPN 360 (internet)

    Purdue will wear throwback uniforms for the Indiana State game to honor the 1966(7) Rose Bowl Champion team. The game won't be televised.

    The Cub philosophy of "homeruns and base hits are more exciting than walks, sure every once in a while the offense is shut down because they are swinging at pitches outside the strikezone, gotta tip your cap" has been around for a while. If Dusty preaches that it is better to go down swinging and then backs it up with giving extra playing time to Neifi Perez then that effects the whole team. "Gee if I don't swing maybe I won't be in the lineup again this week."

    I changed the draft to Sept 4 (Labor Day) at 1:45 PM MST (3:45 PM CDT). So far there are 6 teams. I would like to have 12 but original the draft time was late on a Saturday night . Yahoo draft times are slim pickings now. after a few complaints of the draft time I want ahead and changed it, hope this works out Sorry if this time is worse for you but the pickings are slim and all that was left were early morning or middle of day. Unless we delay the draft to after the season starts.

But since I knew what you meant, maybe this will help.........
