  1. He's been there for about a week He had a damn good series in Atlanta, and was decent in Florida. .233 /.303 /.433 on the road trip. The Cubs went 5-1 on the road trip therefor he was not in a slump. MVP MVP MVP!!!
  2. This is like reading a game thread that Fred posts in. Also, I've seen 3 different stats as to the Cubs record with and without Soriano in this thread. 2 have come from ChiCubsfan0502.
  3. that's only because nobody hits a power hitter in the leadoff spot. if babe ruth's teams had let him hit leadoff, i'm pretty sure that soriano would have no hope of ever shattering every leadoff record. and, it should be reiterated that a leadoff hitter is guaranteed to hit leadoff a grand total of once every game. Ok, back to the team numbers. 50-20 with, 26-28 without. Explain this. Not a small sample size. I'll do it for Truffle.
  4. Next inning goes Blake-Berroa-Kemp for the Dodgers.
  5. 2-1 Dodgers after 4.
  6. What's the question and who is Ryan O'Malley? Favorite Cubs vs. Astros moment Woods 20 k game Sammys 66th HR a comeback from 9-0 in 1989 Ryan O'Malleys debut I forget the 5th option. 5th was Maddux beats Clemens in 05
  7. Len: "You get the feeling today just might not end well for Backe."
  8. Well this seems like a typical 8-run inning.
  9. seems like a waste of google's capabilities. Yea, overall I'm kinda dissapointed.
  10. Hmmm... I was googling Nicky Hilton as that one was flying out...
  11. Why must today's game be blacked out for me?
  12. I'm a big weather guy, and I think storms like this are awesome when they aren't interfering with the Cubs game. You should spend a spring in Oklahoma.
  13. There's a stray storm that could cause another delay. I don't know if it will hit Wrigley or pass north though.
  14. How small? Tornados are so unpredictable it could hit the mound and nothing else. But I'm guessing if a 2 or 3 hit the scoreboard, it'd be in big trouble. Heck an EF0 touching down right on the mound would probably cause enough damage to have to move to another park to play a few games.
  15. I'm guessing it is. http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?product=NCR&rid=LOT&loop=yes
  16. The Astros honestly don't really scare me at Wrigley like they do at MMP. That park does wonders for them. Brian Moehler has a 4.63 ERA on the road with a 1.41 WHIP, while he has a 3.99 ERA at home Wandy meanwhile still has big H/R splits. 3.31 ERA at home and 4.03 WHIP on the road. Last year he had a 2.97 ERA at home and a 6.37 ERA on the road, so while I guess having a .62 ERA difference between H/R is not a lot, he has been known to pitch less effectively on the road in his career. Also, the Astros hit nearly 100 points better (OPS) at home than on the road. They are 11th in the league in home OPS at .784, while they are 25th in the league in road OPS at .689 I'm thinking two of three is definitely possible, looking over the season series the 4 of the 5 Astros' victories are by 2 runs or less - I attribute most of that to luck. This Astros' staff is terrible heck, Marquis would be a 3 for that staff. So... do they have anything we need that would clear waivers? I mean, they seem to be adding at this point.
  17. I feel like listening to some RATM now.
  18. Just wondering, when was the last time that Marmol guy pitched?
  19. I'm gonna say 3 straight bloop singles.
  20. MLB.TV has worked every Saturday that I've needed it this season.
  21. Great first post.
