  1. Just in case, I have the dumpster graphic queued up and ready to post.
  2. Dusty needs to go out and argue with the official scorers.
  3. Stupid official scorer, they deny Bynum his 4th error and rob Theriot of a triple.
  4. We can't lose here. Dodgers score and win: we gain a game in the Fecal League. Cubs hold 'em and win: at least, for one solitary moment, an exciting, improbable victory amidst a season of misery.
  5. So much for Pierre never striking out. http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_334393.jpg "Hello, my name is Juan Pierre, my head is three sizes too small for this cap."
  6. Aramis! As important as the Fecal League is, I'm kind of emotionally invested in this game.
  7. Aramis pinch hitting for Cedeno with the bases clogged. Thank you, Dusty.
  8. Interesting, Doug Glanville is singing the 7th inning stretch tomorrow.
  9. One of the few positives of this year is that we've found some potentially capable back-ups for next year (Riot, Pagan, Bynum, etc.).
  10. And just like that, Hank dashes our hopes.
  11. Screw the Fecal League, double for Big Murt!!
  12. RBI single by Pierre. Cubs cooking up a rally. Time for Bynum to atone for his sins.
  13. Congratulations Buck Coats...first major league hit.
  14. Interesting addendum to the KC/Cleveland game, Royals' pitcher Runelvys Hernandez and catcher John Buck got into a fight between innings. We need something like that to liven up this game.
  15. Fecal League update: KC leading the Indians 4-3 at Cleveland, bottom of the 7th. Cubs can crawl to 2 games back with a win (er, I mean loss) tonight.
  16. Sean Marshall done for the night. As bad as the defense was, Marshall was pretty craptacular out there.
  17. They might be making history in more ways than one tonight. 27 ground outs in a nine inning game, anyone? Edit: JJ's strikeout spoils that scenario, but the Cubs are still in line for a "no outfield outs" game.
  18. Hendry wanted to get guys that "could catch the ball". Bang up job on that one, Jimbo.
  19. Looks like 9 for a second baseman in the NL (AL record is only 5). Andy Leonard Boston 9 errors 06-14-1876 BUT, that was on the old fields. I don't think they even wore gloves back then.
