Another damn WGN game I can't watch. Well, at least I actually have a radio station to listen to this year. The MLB blackout areas are garbage. Lester goes 7+, Dongs by Schwarber, Bryant and Heyward. Cubs win 9-2.
I find it hilarious how a lot of Cards fans blast the Cubs for putting Schwarber in left, calling him incompetent in the field, then Matheny puts that clown show in left. Too funny.
My most memorable was my first trip to Wrigley, late '93, Randy Myers poster day. He blew the save and the fans in the bleachers tossed all of their posters onto the field. Good times.
It's equally likely that he is already hurt and is "scheduled to start throwing off flat ground again." I'm not gonna get worried until I hear the words "towel drill".
I am not mad at Chapman for saying he was overused, because he was. I am also not mad at Maddon for overusing him.(OK maybe just for a couple minutes in game 7)
I found myself being like "do I have to watch the good stuff happens to the indians part?" Yeah, me too. I was half tempted to fast forward through those parts, especially the 2 run homer.
Even though I knew the outcome, as I watched this last night, I still found myself dealing with stress, anxiousness, anger, then finally elation. I still can't believe it's real. The look on Bryants face in slo-mo on the last out is priceless.
Well, I will do my small part to get this thread to 108. I have been a fan since '82, that is when we got cable and WGN. I would get home from school and watch the rest of the game with my mom(She had a huge crush on Bill Buckner!) I am still having trouble processing what has happened. They did it. What a great time to be a Cubs fan!
Cards fans, especially southern Illinois Card's fans can shove their 11 titles where the sun don't shine. horsefeathers them Southern Illinoisan right here, and I agree 100%.
