  1. Is there any other team in baseball that has to deal with horsefeathers, corrupt politicians like the Cubs do? Well, most of the other teams are busy scamming their states out of billions for new stadiums. So, the Cubs get the least out of dealing with shitty, corrupt politicians...

  3. This was like the first game I ever remember watching. Sandberg stole home https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SDN/SDN198404080.shtml Nice. I figured there were a lot that I don't remember. While looking up the Brian McRae game, the article mentioned that it was the first steal of home by the Cubs since Glenallen Hill did it two years prior.
  4. In all my 35+ years of watching the Cubs, I only remember one guy stealing home, Brian McRae in 96 or so. I have now seen Javy do it twice in the past year.
  5. I just ventured over to Cards Talk out of sheer boredom, and there is a 103 page thread dedicated to Kyle at the very top of the forum. 103 pages! Even though he is having a tough year, hasn't he single handedly beat the Cards at least twice this year?
  6. Is there any video of the fan rushing Randy Myers?
  7. I believe thats 17 runs allowed by the pen in the last 5 games Is that all?
  8. How many more games do we have against these dickheads?
  9. Just tuned in. How many god damned 9 run innings have we surrendered this year?
  10. I am not able to watch WGN games, so when I started reading the game thread, I had assumed Quintana gave up 7 runs.
  11. I feel like he's always been good at blocking. Framing is where he's been less good. Yeah, I just checked and he only has 6 passed balls this year. I'm not sure what altered my perception. He is a stud.
  12. Not only is he crushing the ball, it seems to me, and I have no stats to back this up, that he has gotten a lot better behind the plate. Not as many passed balls as earlier in the year.
