  1. That was a stupid idea by Theriot. He should be criticized for it.
  2. So I just looked at the box score. God it pisses me off so much that Glendon Rusch is given chance after chance after chance.
  3. Guess who's leading off for the Tigers tonight? Yes, I'm serious.
  4. Another reason to stay away from Carlos Lee. I didn't want the Cubs to go after him this offseason, and now I really don't want them to.
  5. Agreed! I can't really remember a SS or 2nd basemen that has made so many poor choice decisions as Cedeno has. I hope people aren't talking about the throw home. That was the right move, he had Burrell by several steps, the throw was just not a good one. I disagree that it was the right move. In a scoreless game early on, you should always go for the gauranteed out at first. Especially when the pitcher who can't hit was due up next and would have been the third out.
  6. Tim, PLEASE allow non-Premium forum members the ability to ignore posters.
  7. I remember Dawson and Dunston being well received by the fans, as well. not exactly accurate. Dunston was pretty much hated by Cub fans until 1989 when he stopped sucking so bad. Is that the year that the Shawon-o-meter made its debut? I was only 7 then, so I don't remember.
  8. Neifi 0-4 for Detroit tonight. No word on many crotch grabs he registered.
  9. Are you serious? Did that happen while the game was going on or after the game had ended?
  10. maybe he figured things out and became a player, but dude looks to me to be another in the long line of players who perform way over his head for the Cardinals. his current OPS is .309 above his minor league career OPS, .235 above what he did at AAA last year, and .255 above what he did at AAA this year before being called up. Hitting in front of Pujols might have something to do with that.
  11. Words cannot express how happy I am right now. I'm incredibly hungover right now and have felt like crap all day... it is now a great day!!!
  12. Novoa had pitched well in August up until today. Of course, he sucked every month prior to that.
  13. Bad starts and lack of offense are part of the game, but an error isn't?
  14. http://www.myspace.com/davidaardsma If you're on MySpace, tell him how badly he sucks.
  15. I want to re-visit this. Why in the HELL was Marmol taken out so early? He gave up three ER in three innings. And no walks. Walks have killed him this year, and in a start where he was showing good control, Dustbag takes him out after giving up three runs?! What the hell
  16. Marmol isn't a bad hitter, and he probably didn't want to waste Neifi this early in the game. I don't understand why he was taken out so early though.
  17. Yeah, sprained something taking grounders before that half inning.
  18. I'm listening to the radio... But what did Cedeno do? It was ruled a hit, right?
  19. Mike Shannon on St. Louis radio talking to Bob Brenley: It's nice to see Lee back and healthy. Drunk already, Mike?
  20. D. Eckstein C. Duncan A. Pujols S. Rolen J. Encarnacion P. Wilson R. Belliard G. Bennett J. Marquis J. Pierre C. Izturis M. Barrett A. Ramirez J. Jones A. Pagan J. Mabry R. Cedeno C. Marmol Murton sits again.
  21. Dewan ranked him 32nd out of 35 CF's. Not too good. What kind of defensive ranking has Jim Edmonds ranked as nearly the worst defensive centerfielder in the game? I hate Edmonds, but it's pretty silly (IMO) to say that he doesn't have a good glove.
