Z better not blame anyone for an error as he should have been there and ready. Little things time and time again by this team prove why they are a second tier type team and always will be with Baker around.

He's fast dude...and his glove and stuff. You know, tools. Just like Rivers...no arm, fast and swung at everything. I hate to have Hendry figure out that Rivers had a bunch of quality bats behind him in the linup.

I think that Hendry had a man crush on Mickey Rivers and that's why he likes Pierre so much. I just don't see the value in the guy.

Amazing what can happen with a patient hitter. Make him throw strikes for Gods sake and swing at your pitch not the pitchers once in a while.

Why not just put a better product out there instead of blaming things like singers, daygames and throwing the ball on the field. Not being from Chicago I never realized how superstitious many Cub fans are.

But what good is swinging at a pitchers strike and not a ball in your zone early in the count?

Baker is just oblivious to reality. I used to think he ignores it but now I just think he is just a stubburn man who refuses to learn anything new. What a horrible quality to have in a manager.

Walker wasn't on the 2003 team...That was a team that was built on starting pitching. I think that team was built on pitchers that could K a lot batters too. You'd need to with that defense. -
Let's assume you are right and that is the rotation. Let's also assume that the payroll is around $100M. Then, Hendry will still have approx. $24M that he can spend - what's/who's he spending it on? How much does ARod make again? :D

Me either but after the Izertis trade there is no reason to think that Hendry will not go after the proverbial speedy leadoff guy. Hendry hasn't changed his MO and never will.
