  1. Well I'll be. Now I wonder if he regretted for standing there. It just seemed like he never even bothered to attempt to get away from it.
  2. He only played 111 Games in 1994. Does anyone know why? I sure as heck don't get it. That was the strike-shortned season.
  3. What's really interesting about him is that his split-stats is unreal. Home: 4-1 with a 3.91 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and a BAA of .262 Away: 1-7 with a 10.32 ERA 2.18 WHIP and a BAA of .356. Indoors/Outdoors also applies to the logic here, as Indoor is Home, and Outdoors is the away games from what I saw.
  4. Wow, that's impressive. I knew he was consistent for the most part, but, to be healthy that long is just unheard of.
  5. Well, we're for sure, looking crappy today. *Shaking head in pity* Time for me to go to work.
  6. i don't know what's worse, the coaches calling for that bunt, or Hairston doing it on his own. I think it's more of the coaches calling it than Jerry, but that's my opinion.
  7. Wow, that was Zito-like curve. Come on you bums.
  8. Yeah, it caught him between the shin and the foot. Around the ankle area.
  9. Well, other than giving up the solo-shot, Maddux gets out of it. I hope he just give up only that. Giving him an 6 run lead would deftinaly be a great idea, offense.
  10. And there's one of those 2 out, solo HR. Didn't that just happened to Wood the 2nd inning yesterday?
  11. 3000+ Hits and (probably at least) 600 HRs = H.O.F in my opinion. First base is a tough postion to be an All-Star at because there are so many good ones.. Bayless is #2 on my list of Sports personalities I despise.. right behind Collinsworth.
  12. *points up for someone who does know what the heck it is.*
  13. Not sure where you want this to go, but I figured this would be the appropriate place. We have many young posters, fans who have never played baseball on the board, or some have little to no baseball knowledge and could not understand, so they just nod their heads and pretend to understand the conversation, thereby creating more confusion. If you have a question, don't be afraid to ask it. Myself, someone who knows will explain it the best we can, or link it on the web. In this thread, there should be no such thing as a "stupid baseball related question". For those who really know.....pick a topic and explain it in a way that a Jr High kid could understand. What is OBP%? How do you calculate OBP%? What exactly is SLG? OPS? etc. Let the questions and Answers rip. This could be a great educational experience. Lets go NSBB. Get the Rookies in Game-day Shape.
  14. One thing to keep in mind that the AL Central is one crappy division. White Sox's record in: AL East teams: 9-4 AL Central teams: 28-5 AL West teams: 10-14 I would have no doubt in my mind that if the Cubs was playing in the AL Central, that they could pose a record at least close to the White Sox.
  15. Hopefully the wind will be blowing straight in, at least for Maddux that is. p.s. We still suck.
  16. Let me check my suckage meter here. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v39/SwedeCarlson/Funnies/suckage2.jpg Yup. We still suck.
  17. no way I want the astros to sweep and us to sweep pittsburgh. I would love to make the division an option again. That would get us within 9 with what, 16 to play against the cards? 14. We split them in the first series in Busch.
  18. The last 5 games the Cubs have played. 42 runs for the Cubbies 12 runs for the opponent
