    It should have been a sweep. Playoff teams don't lie down like dogs against a rookie pitcher. I don't care who he is. The Cubs' advance scout needs to be taken outside and shot. The same thing happens every single time they face a guy the first time. 3 Game Sweeps are tough, 4 game sweeps in the ML are nearly impossible. I'd ask Fred to compile some stats on the percntage of times a team actually swept 4 games. I bet even amongst the great teams, they rarely did it. I know the Sox did it this weekend, but i don't remember how many other teams have done it. You're incredibly unrealistic if you get upset for losing one game out of every 4, even against the pirates. Yes. 3 game sweeps is tough, but 4 games is close to impossible. I remember me and Serena had a little discussion about that, and she pretty much agreed that getting a 4 game sweep is very difficult. Again, like I said before, 3-1 is better than 2-2.

    Heh, he did try to body slam Affedlt, but at the last minute, Affedlt just DDT'd him. What is DDT'd? Like if you watch WWF or WCW awhile ago, where Diamond Dallas Page just stuns him. omg im having flashbacks of watching WCW as a lil kid reminds how awesome bill goldberg is...err was, whats that man doin now? Haha, the Spear and the Jackhammer. He was, by far, the best wrestler when I was younger. But wade is correct, he hosts a show on the HC, called AutoManiac (but Goldberg calls it "Inside the Ride" in an interview) He also was in the remaking of "The Longest Yard." Anyone know any suspensions as of lately yet?

    Maybe so. The Red will posess more challenges for our starting pitching. But the bottom line though is, they're doing pretty much exactly what they should have done in the first half of the season.

    Well, I guess you could go ahead and unsticky this. *shrug* Would also love to hear some more responses of what people thought of the movie.

    Not sure if anyone also know that Molina landed on the DL for hairline fracture on his left hand as well.

    Same here. The real question is though, which Nomar will we see? The one during Spring Training? Or the one that had a horrible month during April before his injury?

    And is the team ERA now 4.26 as of this moment?

    Cubs.com says that they have a 1.37 ERA over the 6-1 streak. 8 runs in 52+ innings. Hmm, I guess the broadcasters was a little bit off. Still, that's not too bad.

    I'm not sure if it was mentioned on here or not, but during the broadcast, the Cubs starting pitching during the last 4 games aganist Pittsburgh, has a 1.18 ERA. That's pretty impressive.

    Wow, NYY is on the verge of blowing a 5-1 lead to Boston. It's bases loaded, 5-3 Yankess, but Boston is batting. Wow....

    That's about right. So I figured the Cubs were probably just lying in the weeds for the most part, just waiting to pounce when the time is right. *Shrug* Hey, it's the best I can come up with..

    Well, we didn't get 4 from Pittsburgh, but 3-1 is deftinaly better than 2-2.

    Thanks for the update, and I was at church and taking Britt to a job interview. We went to Barnes and Noble too, which could have caused me to miss the whole game. After about 25 minutes, I started complaining and pointed out that none of these books are showing the Cubs game, so we should probably get going. :) Well, it seems to me...... you can dress her up in a CUBS jersey and a CUBS cap.... but if she's causing you to miss games, then she's a bad influence on you, no? :lol:
