  1. Bummer. Another golden oppiturnity wasted. Hudson at 34 pitches through 2.
  2. Nice job Blanco. Come on Mark, help yourself here.
  3. Nice job by Todd H. to move the runner. 1 out.
  4. Stand-up double by Aramis! Come on, can we please score in this inning?
  5. Nice defensive play by Neifi. 12 pitches for Prior.
  6. It just appears to me that whenever nobody's on base, D-Lee can do alot of damage. But whenever there are RISP, it's a different story.
  7. Darn, Lee strikes out. Come on, bring the runner home!
  8. Nice job Walker. Grounded out to 1st, but moves a runner.
  9. Considering the way the Marlins have been playing lately, I get the hunch it won't be long. Alot of reports coming out of FLA is saying that McKeon has lost the team.
  10. Still no reports of who's gonna be gone? (Meaning that we have 26 players on the 25 man roster)
  11. So what are the odds that Jody is going to start today? Just curious.
  12. The only way I can see Gerut fitting into the OF is in a platoon with Hairston. Gerut bats lefty so he'll see the bulk of the time in a straight L/R platoon. Which would be stupid, because Hairston is the only leadoff hitter we have, and he's been doing quite well in that role. That would be a crappy way to treat him. "Yeah, you've been doing great leading off, but we just got this kid from Cleveland who's gonna take most of your playing time. Thanks for nothing" That's how I was thinking as well. Not sure if Fred would have the stat of it, but I would really like to know what the Cubs record is when Hairston leads off. Just a random thought.
  13. Cubs.com has him listed at 92, but I do recall him at least taking a few days off, but came on as either a PH' or a defensive replacement.
  14. That's what I had as well. 7/10. I missed question 2, 4, and 8. Oh well, 70% is a C- in college level. Go me! :D
  15. That's also another thought. Ever since Johnson went to the DL, they lost quite a bit games than they won. I can't recall the numbers right off my head, but I just remember (I think) it was either BBTN or SportsCenter was mentioning the fact that they are missing their RBI guy, or something along the lines like that.
  16. Just letting ya know that the picture is broken. All I see is a red x. it says something to the effect of "Your Booty is Ours" *As a pirate* "Arrrrrrrrggghhh!"
  17. Oh man, brutal indeed.
  18. Just letting ya know that the picture is broken. All I see is a red x.
  19. Gerut is likely just another late inning defensive replacement -- this time likely for Hairston, who has shown that he lacks the instincts of a natural outfielder (not his fault of course -- he's a second basemen being asked to play center field). It probably means that when the Cubs face lefty starters, Murton and Hairston will start and be replaced by Holly and Gerut in the late innings. I highly doubt this deal is tied to a Dunn deal -- I'd like to be wrong though! :D 25 year old? Gerut turns 28 in September. Yeah... huh. I guess someone forgot to check his age card.
  20. I don't know man. Tampa Bay's jersey looks nasty.
